Day Book

Outside my window... it is HOT,HOT,HOT! I feel for those who are out in the heat working.
I am thankful for... dear friends who are willing to help. Thanks Mrs. W. I really appreciate all the help you gave me.
From the learning rooms... there won't be any more entries about the learning room, since I'll be teaching this fall, unless, I decide to add something about school.
From the kitchen... nothing fancy or fun. Plain, simple food. Maybe not as healthy as I would like, but our tummies are being filled.
I am creating... I have a couple of skirts and blouses, I'll be working on over the next few weeks for school.
I am reading... a book that was recommended. It's considered a "science fiction" since the story is about a nuclear attack on the United States. The main character in the book, is having to provide for and protect his family. In the book, there is that "family first, others second" survival mode. I have heard over the last 10 years about being prepared for events that will make it hard on survival. While reading this book, I realize that no matter how prepared we are, there is going to be a time when people will suffer. The only draw back to this book is some of the language (which I was warned about). The "meat" of the book is very interesting. If you'd like to know the title of the book, just send me a message and I'll let you know. Due to the language in the book, I'll not post it here.
I am praying... about a need.
Around the house... I have so much to do other than just normal daily cleaning activities. I'm going to be working on some major "fall cleaning", so I'll not be faced with it during the school year.
A few plans for the rest of the week... we are planning on attending the Sword Conference on Wednesday. I'm too sure about this. I'll know for sure later today. On Thursday, my husband and I will be going back to the school, so we can move this ginormous metal cabinet out of my room. This is not a normal 2 door cabinet that you may be thinking of. This thing is one of the old military lockers. All I can say is, H-E-A-V-Y!
