Two Tickets to the Christmas Ball is written by Donita Paul. The story is about a young woman trying to get all of her Christmas shopping finished early to beat the holiday rush. Cora stumbles upon an unusual book store looking for a Christmas present. When Cora returns home with her package, she finds a ticket to a Christmas ball. Little does Cora know that she along with a coworker have been chosen for a matchmaking scheme. Both Cora and Simon receive a ticket to the ball. Simon plans on taking his younger sister until circumstances arise for him to ask Cora to go with them. Both Cora and Simon begin to research the Christmas ball and find that there is not much information out regarding the ball. The only people that know anything about the ball are those that are in location of the mysterious street that does not exist. As they begin to plan on attending, Cora gets to know Simon more than just the serious, focused coworker.
My Thoughts:
Two Tickets to the Christmas Ball is a cute book. It was a little short and not enough romance for it to be called a romance book. The cover is amazing. My only draw back for the book is that it deals with wizards. The author tries to explain that wizards are very wise people. If you use a modern dictionary for the definition of wizard then yes, you will find " a wise man" and you'll find "one skilled in magic." As a Christian I stay away from anything that has to deal with the occult. The book did not go in detail of "wizardry" but just having an appearance in the book is something I feel I need to mention for my non wizardry readers.
I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review
