Rest In Peace {Psalm 4:8}
/
There are a lot of things happening in our world today. Wars, threats of wars, national leaders bullying other leaders, job loss, sickness, death, marital problems, and the list goes on. No matter what is going on around us, Christians can REST IN PEACE knowing the Lord is in total control.
In Psalm 4:8, David puts his faith in God and lays down to sleep peacefully because he knows he has God’s protection. It's a little hard to imagine all the things David went through and still slept peacefully.
"It's a great day to be alive, I know the sun's still shinin' when I close my eyes", are lyrics to a song. Those words make pretty good sense when you think about it. Anytime our eyes close, we know the sun is still shining even if we’re facing a dark moment in our life. We don’t have to worry about opening our eyes to darkness.
There is nothing wrong with calling out to the Lord and telling him of your worries.(I Peter 5:7)
The Bible teaches our faith will be tested and for us to be strong during those times. (James 1:3-4) Lastly, God promises he is with us and he will strengthen us in times of need.(Isaiah 41:10)
Rest In Peace
Reading and watching the news is discouraging. Every day something changes in our world and in our community. While some are in Biblical prophecy others are shocking and heart breaking. No matter what the circumstance is God knows about it and he has already been there working things out for our good.In Psalm 4:8, David puts his faith in God and lays down to sleep peacefully because he knows he has God’s protection. It's a little hard to imagine all the things David went through and still slept peacefully.
