We Have Eternal Life
/
Before my break, I began a study on “Who am I to God.” I really thought that this was going to be quite easy and not take a long time to do. But as I began studying, I realized that I was wrong. I found myself not wanting to stop. I also realized it is just not about “who am I” but what I am entitled to, being a child of God. I was surprised! I can’t get over what I learned.
You know, there are many people, who only think about two things.
But there is so much more that goes along with being saved and having those extra special things that are included. Why would someone not want to know? Would you take a job and not know when you were going to get paid?
The first thing, that I found in my study = I have Eternal Life!
>John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
Exactly what is Eternal Life? Some would say, that we would live forever. That is correct.
Webster’s Dictionary defines Eternal as: having infinite duration : everlasting. The dictionary defines Everlasting as: lasting or enduring through all time.
Can you imagine, living forever? Think about it… To continuously live without dying. Having no fear of being separated from God. Being able to see Jesus one day, to be reunited with loved ones, that have gone on before us. To think about the things that are in Heaven, that we can’t even began to imagine what they are like.
I am excited about this study and want to share what I have found with you. Lord willing, each Friday, I’ll be posting about something that I found. I hope you will join me as we learn about Who am I to God.
Eternal Life
You know, there are many people, who only think about two things.
- Going to Heaven – having the protection from being sent to Hell.
- Praying and having their prayers answered.
But there is so much more that goes along with being saved and having those extra special things that are included. Why would someone not want to know? Would you take a job and not know when you were going to get paid?
