Catching Up
/
I have really been busy this week. With all that has been going on here,I have stayed on top of our homeschooling. I can't stand the thought of getting behind. Since a good education for my son is at the top of my list, I make sure that I don't get behind. So there are some things, that have to be put on the back burner, so I can stay focused on the important things.
I have spent several hours this week, researching for a new homeschool curriculum. I'm waiting on some catalogs, so I can do more in depth searching. I am not one of these moms who like to have to hunt for everything that is going to be taught through out the year, so I look for the "school in a box" type curriculum. Since we are on the road more, I feel that the Abeka curriculum, is just not going to work in the fall. It is really hard to keep it working now, so I have decided to begin looking for a new one.
The services that we have been in this week have been so good. Yesterday was the Fantastic Friday at Canaan Baptist Church. This was an all day meeting. We were able to sit under the preaching of 9 preachers. How each of these messages stirred my heart! Some of the titles of the messages are: Failure Is Not Always Final, Are You On Speaking Terms With God,When The Morning Was Now Come, What We Are To Get Out Of Going To Church, Directions For Your Life and It Pleased God To Bruise Him.
Trying to balance out everything this week, I had to include working on a display and a brochure. Thank the Lord for Microsoft Office Word. I was able to come up with the brochure within just a matter of minutes. Of course, the information on the brochure has been a work in progress for some time now. Actually, I'm probably not finished with it. I'm sure that there will be something that I need to change.
I spent about 2 hours today catching up on house work. Laundry was the majority of the work, thank goodness it is all over with now.
We have a meeting in the morning at Brookton Baptist Church. I am looking forward to attending. My husband visited this church, back at the first of the month, when Monkey and I were sick with the flu.
I hope you all have a wonderful Lord's Day tomorrow.
