Outside my window... There is the most beautiful blue sky today. The sun is shining without a cloud to be seen. The temperatures are bearable. It actually feels like September with just a little mugginess thrown in.
I am thinking... About all the things that I would like to be able to do, if money was not a kink in the chain. 8-)
I am thankful for... For many things!
From the learning rooms... We are on our second week of school (at home). We have finally received all of our books. Our Math Curriculum finally arrived today. We've really been enjoying our new History Curriculum ~ The Mystery of History. We are on our second week. Yesterday we talked about Noah, the Flood, life on the ark and what the earth must have looked like when Mr. and Mrs. Noah and family stepped off the ark. For Science in our Apologia Human Anatomy and Physiology we're finishing up lesson one and CELLS. This is a very detailed study, I've even learned some new things.
From the kitchen... I have a pot of Chili on simmering. It's really not Chili weather, but I've been in the mood for a good bowl of homemade Chili.
I am creating... I'm still slowing working on the afghan, but I'm working on some wash cloths and dish cloths for Christmas presents.
I am reading... I'm reading a really good book. It's for a book review that I was chosen for with Litfuse. I'll be writing a review to post in early October for their blog tour. You'll have to watch for the review. This book is amazing!
I am praying... For my friends Wesley and Erin Pittman. They left yesterday for their mission field~ Rockhampton, Australia. They are not due to land in Sydney until about 6 o'clock eastern time this evening. (Syndey time about 8 am Wednesday the 22nd). I had to do a little research on the time differences since they are so far ahead of us.
I am hearing... Monkey working (giggling) on his Teaching Textbooks Math 5. He was not expecting to enjoy it. But he must have, since he worked on two lessons.
Around the house...I'm still trying to get over the "not being at home" for four weeks. I'm working on cleaning out clothes that no longer fit, to donate.
A few plans for the rest of the week... NOTHING! I know that must sound crazy. But I really enjoy being at home. I'll be working on cleaning and decluttering.
